Our Story

The passion and philosophy behind Orbit Network

Since 2018

A Vision Realized

Orbit Network began as a shared dream between two hospitality veterans who believed Toronto deserved a dining destination that honoured both craft and community. After years of working in acclaimed kitchens across North America and Europe, founders Marcus Chen and Elena Dubois returned home with a singular mission.

They envisioned a space where exceptional cuisine could coexist with genuine warmth, where every guest would feel both celebrated and at ease. In 2018, that vision found its home on King Street West.

What started as an intimate 40-seat dining room has grown into a beloved establishment, yet our commitment to personal service remains unchanged. We know many of our regular guests by name, and we treat first-time visitors with the same care we'd extend to old friends.

Culinary Leadership

Executive Chef Marcus Chen brings two decades of experience from kitchens in Lyon, New York, and Vancouver. His approach marries French classical technique with the bold flavours of his Cantonese heritage.

Sous Chef Elena Dubois oversees our pastry program and brings her background in patisserie to create desserts that balance whimsy with sophistication. Together, they've built a team united by curiosity and craft.

Our Commitment to Community

Beyond serving meals, we believe in contributing to the fabric of Toronto's food culture. We partner with culinary schools to mentor emerging talent, participate in charitable dining events, and actively support food security initiatives throughout the city.

Each quarter, we host a community dinner where proceeds benefit local organizations working to ensure everyone has access to nourishing food. These events remind us why we do what we do.

Our Space

The dining room features original exposed brick, custom millwork from local artisans, and a curated art collection showcasing Canadian contemporary artists. The private dining room seats up to 14 guests.

Sourcing Partners

We work directly with over 20 Ontario farms, three sustainable fisheries, and a network of artisan producers. Seasonal menus reflect what's freshest and finest.
